Alabama Challenge 5/11 And 5/12

Greetings Fellow Knights,'

This years Alabama Challenge will be held in the River Region Area on May 11th and 12th.  This year the challenge will begin with the State Police Memorial on the grounds of the State Capitol in Montgomery, Alabama at 1100 Hours.  The Alabama family lost 3 Police Officers during the year 2011.  The Challenge was created as a get chance for all Blue Knights in Alabama to get together, and the Chapter who is represented by the most members wins the Challenge.  This year Alabama IV volunteered to carry the torch that has been carried by Alabama III for several years in attempt to move it more centrally located, and make it accessible by all Chapters both North and South.  Alabama IV's main objective is to make the week end as affordable as it can be, and it is exactly that.  Here is the agenda for the weekend...

Friday May 11th

State Police Memorial 1100 Hours
Grounds of the State Capitol ( 8 foot flags will be on sight for us to hold in honor of our Fallen Heroes ) Possible Ride during the break between Memorial and Barbeque

Saturday May 12th

Blue Knights Alabama IV Childrens Miracle Network Poker Run 1000 Hours
Sam's Club Montgomery Alabama.  Lunch will be provided by Players Sport Bar at the end of the ride.

Saturday Afternoon and Evening

Good Ole Fashion Fellowship and Lie telling Back Yard Cookout at the Penguin Sassy Back Porch Bar and Grill ( Prez's House ).  Food and Beverages provided, all you need to bring is you.

As you can see the only cost in this is your gas, Poker Run (if you choose to participate), and a Motel, unless you stay at my house or pitch a tent in the back yard.  We have 4 bedrooms that all are welcome to stay, and have room for blow up mattresses also so the more the merrier.

All motels are in close proximity of all events, and within 5 miles of my house for Saturday afternoon and evening activities.
Also I have four rooms available in my house, and for the ones who may want to stay in tent can use the back yard ( I'll even scoop the dog poo for ya at no extra cost.

Please try and get this out to all the Blue Knights you know, this was a great idea when it was formed, and we all should take the opportunity to fellowship with our brothers and sisters of the greatest fraternity their is Law Enforcement.
