Trying to get a consensus of users to determine if the "new" opening "splash" and audio sequences for this website are to the liking of the users. I personally dislike "most" audio and "actiuvity" on an opening page and prefer that a website be dynamic enough to permit the "user" to receive such nuances by request rather then by plan.http://bk-src.info/commcenter/public/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif
Th "splash" video is fine and probably very 21st century but I find the "audio" track offensive. Not that I don't appreciate the effort of the singers and the webmaster in getting all that stuff synchronized but I find the need to adjust my computer's audio settings just to browse to the SRC website inappropriate. http://bk-src.info/c...default/sad.gif
The page loads slower than the audio file, by plan or accident, and the browser plays the audio track without the ability to "skip" the intor for several seconds of noise panic. http://bk-src.info/c...fault/blink.gif Most other sites that have an "audio" feature associated with a "hit", load the "audio" control or file skip control BEFORE the audio files starts to play. This would prevent the need to warn surrounding public that you were just trying to see what was going on in the SRC.
http://bk-src.info/c...lt/rolleyes.gif Bottom line, can or should the site be modified to allow for a quieter hit to the site?
But again, it just may be my victorian upbringing.http://bk-src.info/commcenter/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif
