I'm Richard Ballard with the University of Alabama Police Dept. I've been with UAPD for almost 17 years. Currently assigned to Support Division overseeing the Training and Accreditation of the department.
I'm married to Laura and have 2 children and 1 grandchild.
Involved in firearms and active shooter instruction. Also volunteer with the local Civil Air Patrol.
I ride a 2009 HD Ultra Classic Peace Officers Special Edition. Love to ride and try to ride to work everyday. Been on a few overnight as well as week long trips on the bike. Recently aided in getting local Blue Knights chapter set up in Tuscaloosa, AL (AL XV).
Looking forward to getting involved with the Blue Knights.
